Laura ChampionLaura Champion is the Head of International Partnerships at Lockheed Martin. In this capacity Laura is responsible for bringing international organizations together to collaborate on human and scientific exploration missions. By learning the values and desires of spacefaring nations and developing trusting relationships throughout the space industry, governments, and academia, Laura brings together these organizations to work on complex space initiatives while adjusting plans to mitigate risk and assure success.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin Space, Laura was the Director of Marketing at GEOshare LLC, an entrepreneurial subsidiary of Lockheed Martin providing shared satellite services (condosats) worldwide.

Laura led international pursuits and managed aircraft programs for the Aeronautics division of Lockheed Martin for 10 years. Most of her experience is with program management and customer engagement.

Laura serves as the Executive Vice President for the World Space Week Association leading the development and implementation of strategic and tactical goals in preparation for the annual World Space Week in October 2023. She is also a member of the Moon Village Association’s Management team which hosts the annual International Moon Day celebration and lunar working groups throughout the year.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from Appalachian State University and master’s degree in international business from Central Michigan University.
