| Event Name: | Observation session: Sky constellations and satellite constellations |
| Event Description: | The observation session will be attended by middle school and high school students / members of the SIRIUS Astronomical Association. Within the theme proposed for the 2020 edition, the constellations visible at the time of the observations and artificial satellites that cross the sky (SL, CZ, ARIAN, GENESIS, SEASAT, LEMUR, STARLINK) will be identified for two hours. During the activity, teacher Ioan ADAM will present aspects about the movement of satellites, the purpose for which they were designed and their brightness. Following their movement, students will notice the variation of the apparent magnitude, which will give them the possibility of a "training" in identifying the apparent magnitude by associating the brightness corresponding to the reference stars in various constellations. |
