Event Name: | The Moon - To colonise or not? |
Event Description: | Two teams of four will debate the pros and cons of a hypothetical situation where Ireland possesses both the technology and the finances to travel to and takeover the moon for ourselves and now must decide whether or not it is ethically right to do so. Each team will have two key speakers who will speak in rotation before fielding questions from the floor. A team of teachers will then score the two teams on their delivery research and replies to questions. |
