Bio:
“Amna is a physics teacher at Gimnazija High School in the small town of Bosanska Krupa, Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are a member of the Orion Astronomical Society and, together with other members and their students, conduct an asteroid search campaign at the IASC. For many years, they have been involved in the world competition in astrophysics and astronomy organized by the IAAC. [Name] is especially proud to have been a speaker at the European Space Talk 2019 event on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing. They are also proud to be the ambassador of the ‘Cubes in Space’ program for Eastern Europe and the national coordinator for the ‘Scientist for a Day’ NASA project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

“It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.”
